Dear Debbie, Jay, Ash, Sam and Emma, For me, Graham epitomised the phrase ‘family man’. From the moment I was introduced to the Newdick’s, he went out of his way to make me feel at ease and part of the family with his sparkling smile and kind words. Graham was always genuinely interested in what was happening in our lives. I have many fond memories of our chats about life and family and over a cuppa and a treat and he was always so supportive and positive. In the early days we ate far too much of Debbie’s delicious baking and cooking and he was always trying to sneak another scone or potato onto my plate!! I loved our quiet walks together through his perfect gardens and the many Christmas days and family events we enjoyed together. Graham and I shared a ‘secret’ bond with marrying a Burt and it was our special connection that he warmly mentioned whenever we were together. It always made me laugh and it was his way of finding that commonality, his gift. I will miss his presence, his sage advice and the love and warmth he gave so freely. His passing will be felt keenly in our household but as a tribute to him, we will celebrate his life and the impression he has left on us. Rest In Peace Graham. Kua iri ki te hao o rua. Arohanui, Selina Burt
